Data and sources

We process information you provide, such as your name, email address, message, account details and project or company information. Technical data may include IP addresses, browser information, security logs and settings stored in your browser. Public professional contact details in the catalogue may come from developers’ websites, public project materials or business registers. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is needed for a specific request.

Purposes and legal grounds

We use data to operate the platform and requested account functions, answer correspondence, assess submitted information, keep the catalogue accurate and protect the service against misuse. The legal ground is steps requested before a contract or performance of a service where applicable (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform and maintaining useful business information (Article 6(1)(f)), or a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)). Where an optional activity requires consent, we request it separately (Article 6(1)(a)).

The Contacts form sends your name, email, selected topic, message and any optional company name to the FlatBy team at info@flatby.eu. We also keep a private copy for handling the request and related correspondence. Other project enquiry or submission forms may be disabled; a notice in the relevant form explains its availability. A disabled form does not send information. Contact requests are not automatically forwarded to developers and do not subscribe you to marketing.

Recipients and service providers

Authorised team members and providers of hosting, email, technical maintenance and security may access data where necessary for their tasks. Hostinger provides hosting and email services. If you choose an enabled function that sends an enquiry to a developer or seller, the form identifies the intended recipient before sending. We do not sell personal contact details.

External links and services, including maps or sign-in providers where used, operate under their own privacy notices. Requests to external providers may disclose technical data such as your IP address. If processing involves transfers outside the EEA, the applicable transfer mechanism and safeguards must be in place; you may ask us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your data.

Retention and required fields

We retain correspondence for the period needed to resolve the enquiry and related follow-up; account information while the account remains needed; and security records for investigating incidents and preventing abuse. Longer retention may apply to meet legal duties or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. The criteria are the purpose, account status, unresolved matters and applicable statutory periods. You may ask us which period applies to your information. Contact fields marked as required are needed to process the relevant request; providing other information is optional.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Send requests to info@flatby.eu; we may request proportionate identity verification. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated processing.

You may complain to the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec), www.ip-rs.si, or the competent supervisory authority in your country.
