Italia: housing permits rise 8% year on year in the second quarter

ISTAT reports that the number of homes authorised in the second quarter of 2026 increased by 8.0% compared with the same period of 2025. Seasonally adjusted growth from the previous quarter was 3.8%.

The figures describe permits rather than completed homes. Authorised residential floor area also increased, by 7.3% year on year.
