Bulgaria: first-quarter permits authorise 13,567 homes

Bulgarian municipalities issued permits for 2,302 residential buildings containing 13,567 homes in the first quarter of 2026, according to NSI.

The number of authorised homes was 28.3% higher than in the first quarter of 2025. Separately, construction began on 1,649 residential buildings containing 10,193 homes during the quarter; permits and construction starts are different indicators.
